{Bexley's 2 Year} Check up

Bexley had her 2 year check up today.  She did great ~ she especially loved not having to get any shots.  We were happy too since it was her 1st time meeting our new doctor!  The doctor said she is doing great and everything checked out very well!  The doctor said she was average weight and in the 90th percentile for height!  He said if you double her height at the age of 2 you will get her adult height.  He said that would make her 5'10"!  Camden better start growing or he may have a sister taller than him!

{Our Little Fish} Camden

Camden really loved the pool and beach this summer so we thought we'd enroll him in swimming lessons at the Aquatic Center.  Such a good move...he...loves...it!  He goes 4 days a week and in under a month's time is holding his breath under water AND swimming the crawl stroke!  I cannot believe what they teach them and what they can learn!  We are so proud of him ~ I sit there in "awe" every lesson!  One day Scott took off work a little early to surprise Camden at his lesson and Camden did nothing but show off the entire time!  I think Scott needs to come more often!  Check out our little fish...I mean Camden at his swimming lesson!

{Build And Grow} Lowes Project Weekend

We had so much fun hammering away at the last Lowe's Build To Grow Workshop that we thought we'd try another one!  We made a police car a few weekends back and a firetruck this time!  So much fun!  I thought I'd share some cute pics we got from the workshop!

{Happy Birthday} To Our Little Girl!

Bexley turned 2 today!  I know it's so cliché, but oh how the time flies!  Just yesterday she was my little baby and now she's 2!  WHAT?!?  We celebrated all week (a tradition in our home) by doing what Bexley wanted the whole week.  We also had her favorite breakfast...pancakes!  (I'll post our video of that soon!)  We played all day with her new dollhouse (even Camden wanted in on the fun) and dress up clothes (Camden skipped that part), then went to Red Robin for dinner ~ a place Camden has been dying to take someone on their birthday!  All in all a great day and one Scott and I will never forget 2 years ago!  We love you BooBoo! 

 

{1st Day of} School

Our little munchins are both in school this year!  Oh, how the time flies!  Bexley started the 18mth old class and did great!  The teacher said she was her little helper today getting toys for the kids who were upset that their parents weren't going to stay at school with them!  Camden is in the 4yr old class and also did awesome today!  He's always loved going to school and learning!  He's also quite the social butterfly!  We are excited for another school year and are sure to have many fun stories to share!

{Bye, Bye} Weston Lakeside!

See ya Weston Lakeside Apartments!  You've been a great place to land while our house was being built, but it's time move to our new roost!  There are lots of things we won't miss 1) Apartment Living ~ wall to wall furniture  2) Being quiet ~ especially hard for a certain boy named Camden  3) Lugging grocery bags up stairs!   We will miss 1) Smaller areas to clean  2) Taking the elevator (Camden & Bexley's Fav)  3) A pool and playground steps from our door!  So time to pack because tomorrow is MOVING DAY!!!

{Closing} Day!

We closed on our house today!  YAY!!!  It's finally ours!  I can't wait to get in there, start decorating and making {Our Little}Family memories!

{Foot} Surgery

{My Sweet} Temporary Cast!

Have you ever dropped a knife on the floor while cooking and thought, "WHOA, that...was...close!"  I almost had that moment a week and a half ago.  I was cooking, dropped the knife and cut my foot (right below my big toe).  We went to Urgent Care, got stitched up and thought that would be the end of it.  A few days later after finally being able to walk on it I noticed that my big toe wasn't moving.  I went back to the doctor and come to find out I sliced the tendon too!  YIKES!  So today I had surgery (and even was in my 1st earthquake) and will be in a cast for a month!  This comes at a really good time as we close on our house Friday, move Monday & Tuesday, start both kids in preschool, it's Bexley's birthday, and Scott leaves for Germany for a week 4 days after we move!  It's going to be a wild, busy next few weeks!  We can handle it though, right?!?

{Blue Taping} At Our New Home!

Well, it is that time!  Less than 2 weeks until we move in!  We had our New Home Walk Through today, but the best was yesterday when Scott and I had our inspector check the house out.  After the inspection, Scott and I thought we'd get a head start on the Tuesday meeting with the builder where we put up the blue tape together.(For those of you who don't know, blue tape on the walls indicates to the builder areas to fix or touch up.)  I must say, it...was...impressive!  There was so much tape up that today I asked the builder if this was the most he'd ever seen.  He hesitated and I said, "Be honest.  It's in the top 3 of what you've seen, right?"  He smiled and simply said, "It is."  Enough said, Scott and I already knew we were a little high maintenance!

 

While waiting for the builder to arrive, I just wanted to get 1 pic of us.  Below is the pic and convo taken before.

 Scott: "C'mon honey, no more pics!  The sun in shining right in our eyes!"    Me: "1 more and I promise we are done!  Just close your eyes and on the count of 3 open them and smile!"

{Little} Workshop

Just a typical Saturday last week, making our rounds at the hardware stores and the manager says, "Hey, we have a kid's workshop back in Lumber today!" It was not hard to find where he was talking about as we got closer because we could hear all of the hammering. Camden's eyes lit up as he asked, "Can I please do the workshop!" So we signed up, got our gear on and a hammerin' we went!  (Sorry in advance for the blurry pics.  It was just too cute to NOT to take pics!  Good thing I had my point-n-shoot camera in my purse!)
