{Jordan Lake} Day

One of our friends invited us on their boat for the day at Jordan Lake!  It was fun to get to be on a boat on the lake that we always travel (Hwy 64) over!  The kids had a great time swimming and riding in "Big Bubba!"  They haven't stopped talking about it since we left!  Such a perfect day with great company!!!  Thanks again, Asher Family!

{7 Days} Until We Are in Paradise!

I cannot believe this will be our view in 5 days!  We will be driving down THAT road to get to our vacation rental, swimming in THOSE blue waters every minute we can and celebrating LOVE with one of our favorite couples!  Eeek!  We can't wait!

{Scott's Birthday}

I think Scott had a successful birthday this year!  We planned his favorite for breakfast (with candles, of course) and gave him his presents!  After work we celebrated at the Raleigh famous, Angus Barn.  The restaurant was good, but it was great with the kids!  When they caught wind that it was Scott's birthday, our server took the kiddos in the kitchen and let them decorate a birthday cake for SCOTT!  I think the kids put ALL the toppings offered!  Ha!  His cake had frosting, whip cream, M&M's AND Skittles (made it fun when you thought you were eating an M&M and got the other) and a bunch of other toppings!  I think they will be talking about this F.O.R.E.V.E.R!  When we left Bexley said, "THIS is where I want to go on my birthday!"  Happy Birthday, Scott!  We love you!

{Princess Camp} Bexley

This week Bexley has been going to Princess Camp (yes, there is such a thing)!  I don't really know what they do there because Bexley is withholding that information!  Ha!  When I asked her what they do all morning she slightly rolled her eyes, in an annoyed response said, "Princess stuff, Mom!"  She has been wearing a different princess costume everyday and plans it out the night before!  She is saving the Elsa (Frozen) costume for Friday when they have their big performance!  I guess she is loving it!

{Movies by Moonlight} KoKa Booth Ampitheatre

Every Friday Koka Booth Ampitheatre hosts a "Movie by Moonlight" event.  The movie last Friday was The Lego Movie!  We had never been to Koka Booth before and the last time we saw this movie it was just Camden and me...on a date!  We found out some of our friends were going too, bonus!  You can take in your blankets, chairs, food and drinks!  Once the sun sets, the movie begins!!!  "Everything is awesome!"

I mean...can they get any cuter!  (If you didn't recognize this little girl, it's Bexley's best friend ~ she's a regular on the blog!  Ha!)

{Art Camp}

This Summer we signed the kiddos up for Art Camp with a local kids art shop downtown!  They loved it so much they were wanting to go back next week!  The theme of the week was Animals!  They did a few techniques with water colors, painted a t-shirt, and made a clay sculpture!  It was so fun to hear them talk about how much fun they had and what they created!  WE love our blooming little artists!

{4th of July} Fun!

For the 4th of July we were invited by our friends to come up to their lake house!  It was the perfect day:  gorgeous weather, great company and lots of lake fun!  It was a boatin', kayakin', paddle-boardin', swimming kind of day ~ oh, and LOTS of fishing!!!  To end our perfect day, we went on the dock and watched the neighbors set off their amazing fireworks!  Such a great way to spend the 4th of July!

{Independence Day} Week

I bought these glasses that light up, flash, and blink for the 4th of July!  I knew the kids would love them, but what I loved even more is that as soon as they put them on they said, "Mom, get the camera!  Take a picture of us!"  Then they posed like this on their own!  I thought this was a fun pic for the week of the 4th!  Don't we all need a pair of star shaped, flashing glasses!
