We took a trip down to the zoo today. Camden loved it...well actually he loved running around. He was mostly interested in the birds, but liked the giraffes too! It was a beautiful day and we were lucky enough to get there early that it wasn't crowded yet. Grandma Sharon gave us the grand tour of the place! We had lots of fun and always love going to the zoo!

Sunday night Greensboro got about 5" of snow! I know...that's TONS for Greensboro! Unfortunately due to the snow Camden didn't have school that day so we got to play outside! Camden loved the snow and now wants to go out every second! I've uploaded some pics so you can see how much fun we had!

For Valentine's Day this year Scott and I decided to stay close and go to Pinehurst! It was a lot of fun! Although we didn't golf, we did do some shopping, took a carriage ride around the village and went out to dinner. Wondering about Camden...he got to go to Grandma and Grandpa Cole's house! He loved every minute of it and can't wait for another overnight!

Scott surprised Camden and me with a trip to The Homestead last Saturday! The Homestead is a beautiful mountain resort in Hot Springs, VA. They had skiing, ice skating, snow tubing, bowling, a movie theatre, live music and tons more! It was really fun and relaxing! We just wish we could've stayed longer!

Happy Birthday Camden! Camden turned 2 this year! He's getting to be such a big boy. We had a birthday party at our house with some family! We had a cow theme, since Camden loves cows! He had a great time and loved his cake so much he even kissed it!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! We spent a week back in the Midwest over Christmas. We flew into Chicago and got to spend a few days with Jim, Andrea and Drew. The next morning when we woke up they had gotten over 12 inches of snow! Camden loved it! A few days later drove to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to visit Aunt June and the girls! Then drove to Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Al's for Christmas. Although the roads weren't in their best condition we were fortunate enough to make it there safe! We had a great time and got to visit a lot of friends and family! Once we got home, we opened all of our presents that Santa had left for us! The next day we celebrated Christmas with Grandma Sharon, Grandma Phillip, Kimmie and Nathan! What a great Christmas and great way to end the year!

We decided to spend my 30th birthday and Thanksgiving in Hilton Head! We had a lot of fun! We had a cute little villa in Sea Pines. Our villa overlooked the marina and sound. On Thanksgiving we climbed the lighthouse, which is not a working lighthouse - more just for tourists. It has become an icon for Hilton Head. Camden climbed all 144 steps himself!
We also decided to check out Savannah while we were so close. It was only 45 minutes away. We had a good time walking the Historic District and the Riverfront. It was so nice as the people and businesses were getting ready for the holidays!
We had a great time in Hilton Head and are sure to visit again - maybe sometime when it's warmer. I know Camden would love to go to the beach there!

Scott and I ran our 1st 5K as a married couple last Saturday! It was the inaugural Free To Breathe Triad race to benefit lung cancer research! We had a lot of fun and can't wait to do another one soon!

Happy Halloween! Camden loved it this year! He loved helping to carve his pumpkin, which was a ghost ~ spooky! He also loved getting dressed up in his monkey costume! Ask him and he'll do a monkey impression. We had a really nice Halloween. The weather was perfect and the trick-or-treating great! Can't wait for next year!

We took a trip to the Outer Banks last week! The weather was perfect althought the water was a little cold - it didn't stop Camden from trying to get in it. There were a lot of things to do while in the Outer Banks! We saw 3 different North Carolina lighthouses - Currituck, Bodie, and Hatteras. We actually got to climb Currituck, which was so much fun! We also drove out on the beach one night, but didn't have any luck seeing the wild horses which is the hallmark of the Corolla, NC area. Jockey Ridge was really cool too! It's the largest natural sand dune on the east coast. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to visit again soon!
