{Back to School} Party!

Every year, the night before school starts, we have a small Back To School Party! The kids love this and I love planning it! Here's to the 2015-16 school year!!!

{Camden's First 5K} Color Run!

Camden is my little runner partner and has been begging me to do a 5K with him! Our friends found a fun Color Run for us to do together! While you run, you get blasted with color packs turning you very...colorful! It was a blast and we were definitley colorful when we crossed the finish line!

{Birthday Boating} In Pinehurst

Pinehurst is kind of Scott and my go-to get away place! We have never taken the kids overnight there. It was so much fun to hang out at the pool all day and do things we don't normally do in Pinehurst. We found out about Lake Pinehurst and rented a boat! The kids loved driving it around. What a fun thing (and not something we ever do) on a birthday weekend!

{Happy 40th Birthday} Scott!

Scott celebrated his 40th birthday today! What a big birthday!!! Scott has to be in Pinehurst for the week, so we decided to go the weekend before he had to work. We have never been to Pinehurst with the kids, so it was fun to experience it with them. We hope you had the best birthday, Scott! We love you!

{Ocean Isle Beach} 4th of July Parade!

Scott and I were SO excited to tell the kids about getting a golf cart for the week, it would be a 1st for us at the beach...I had no idea there was a "Decorate Your Golf Cart 4th of July Parade!" My friend, who has a family home there, clued me in! You know me...couldn't get on Pinterest fast enough to find ideas. Do we theme our cart out or go Patriotic? It being our 1st time, we had NO idea. People really go all out on the floats and golf carts! We went the Patriotic route and had the best time E.V.E.R! So much fun that we are already thinking of booking our next trip to OIB for the 4th next year! We ran out of candy the 1st block...had to pull over after a mile and let the kids collect candy from other carts! Next year we are going big....theme, music, and TONS of candy! Side note...I about freaked when our camera when bonkers and didn't work the minute we got to line up. I did get these before! Happy 4th of July!

{Ocean Isle Beach} Mini Golf!

OIB has one mini golf course...and it's great because you have the chance at getting a Hole In 1 A LOT! The kids liked it so much the 1st time that we went back for an All Day Pass the 2nd day!

Bexley was actually really good at mini golf. After our 1st round she said, "You really should give me golf lessons...because I'm really good!' She actually probably got the most Hole In 1's of all of us! Love the confidence. 

Camden was insistant on keeping score! When he got his 1st Hole In 1, I think the whole course knew it! Love this pic of him! So funny that when we were talling up the scores, he forgot to write down his score for a hole and said, "Well, that was probably a Hole In 1!" You are probably right, Camden!

{Ocean Isle Beach} Vacation!

We love, love, love Ocean Isle Beach. We always feel at home when we are there. We also always try to go every year! This year was a little different with all of the shark attacks on the NC beaches. The kids love to boogie board, but this year we had them staying out of the water most of the time. We rented a house on the West End this time and also rented a golf cart! The kids LOVED it....and so did Scott and I! It really kept us on the island and was a win/win with the kids! They are home bodies at heart and I like to go,go, go! Being able to cruise around the island made the kids excited about "staying home" and made me feel like doing something constantly! We had a great time and are already thinking about next years trip!

{Renegades} Spring Soccer Champions

Wow...what a great soccer season it has been. We had a great coach, super team morale, and an amazing group of kids! As a bonus we also were undeafeated AND won the tournament against the #3 team! Camden loved every minute of playing with this team. I wish we could continue on with them, but that's not how Apex soccer works. We made some great memories that I'm sure Camden will NEVER forget!

{Camden's Last Day} 2nd Grade

I can't believe we are done with 2nd grade! What a great year!!! 3rd grade here we come!

{7th Wedding} Anniversary

Scott surprised me with an overnight to Pinehurst for our 7th Anniversary! We go to Pinehurst a lot for little getaways, but it just never disappoints. Dinner, live music, coffee outside in the morning...some of our favorite things and everything is in walking distance to the historic Carolina Hotel! We had such a great time celebrating our 7 married years together! Here's to 70 more!
