{Valentine's Day Week} Activites

February 1st we start one of our Valentine's Traditions ~ special activities every day on our Valentine's Countdown Calendar!!! We love it! We do anything simple from baking cookies to dressing up for dinner or the best one yet...dessert BEFORE dinner! It's something our kids really love and look forward too every morning!

{Valentine's Decor}

I love, love, love Valentine's Day! And I love, love, love decorating for it! Christmas is always so big, but then you have the whole month of January to relax and get your house back in order from the holidays! I am always ready by Feb 1 to start decorating again!

Our Valentine's Envelopes ready for the morning...A Valentine's week tradition. Every morning when the kids wake up they find a sweet treat, small present or a cute note in their envelope! This is a Camden & Bexley favorite!!!

{A Valentine Heart for} Kitty!

Kitty had to get in his carrier this morning to go to his hair stylist for a haircut! Camden saw us getting him in there and saw how much Kitty dislikes it. As we were getting ready to leave I noticed a red heart on Kitty's carrier. I asked Camden what it was...he said he made it out of a pipe cleaner and wanted it there to make Kitty feel better at his hair cut! Too cute and perfect for a Valentine's Day Post!

{National Pancake}Day!

Today was National Pancake Day! So of course we had to have pancakes this morning with sprinkles!!! Actually, we act like it's National Pancake Day at our house everyday ~ it's the MOST requested breakfast item every morning!!! Happy Pancake Day!

{Camden's 100th Day Of} School!

We have learned so many things since Camden started Kindergarten...room mom duties, LetterLand parades, and now we are celebrating 100 days in school! I never celebrated 100 days at school back in 1984, nor when I got the letter from Camden's teacher did I even know what she meant by celebrating 100 days! Luckily, we were able to do a little research and come up with some ideas!!!

Our monster t-shirt we made with 100 EYES to wear on our 100th day of school!

Our teacher asked us to make a project with 100 items on it...of course Camden choose a Star Wars theme!

{Chevron Wall} Painting

I have always loved a chevron wall and whenever I see one on Pinterest, I want one!!! The other day I thought, I can do that! So I decided to do a focal wall in tone on tone chevron in my craft/exercise room! Just a plain beige wall before and now here it is after! I love it so much, problem is...I want it everywhere now!

{Snow Day} Part III

We feel so lucky...we had 2 snow days in less than a week!!! On Friday school was on a 4 hour release due to an ice storm! At noon we got the 1st wave which was a little more snow than ice, so the kids went outside to play in it...until we got cold (doesn't take much when you grow up in NC)! Over the next 6 hours, we got ice! So the next morning we HAD to go play on it! We got the sled out and Camden grabbed his hockey sticks! Another fun snow/ice day morning!!!

{Snow Days}

Snow days are a HUGE deal here as we only get 1 or 2 each winter! There is nothing more exciting than waking up and seeing snow! So when they were predicting 1-3 inches, I couldn't wait for the kids to wake up and see it! Bexley was super excited and Camden was a little disappointed we didn't get more! After being up 30 minutes, we got a call from our neighbors who were sledding in their back yard...inviting us over! The kids couldn't get their snowsuits on fast enough!!! We had so much fun! I love that snow days are so special around here!

It has been a big birthday weekend for Camden ~ family birthday on Friday, birthday celebrations with Grandma &Grandpa, and the finale...our friend birthday party!!! Such a great weekend! Camden is already planning his next birthday....go figure!
